Exercise Tips for Women

If you want to be more confident about your looks, have better health, or just want heads to turn when you hit the beach in a bikini, then you should read on. Over the number of years there has been a frightening increase of obesity in the United States. Why is there no solution in sight? Is it genetics? Is it our diet habits?

Today there is an overabundance of information on how to lose weight. It can be very confusing sometimes to know what to believe because there are so many inconsistencies in the many theories emerging from different sources. It is therefore not surprising that some give up on the notion of losing weight. It is important that before you decide to follow any kind of exercise or nutrition program that you have set goals in place. In this article I will list down 3 important goals I think you should aim for when trying to lose weight:
1. Improve Your Muscle to Fat Ratio

In every fitness program, our goal is to get a better distribution of fat in the body. In other words, we want to build muscle and reduce the fat in our body. Bottom line is, you want to look HOT in that bikini!

2. A Fitter, Healthier Body

When you exercise, an improvement in health is one of the by products. If done properly, the end result is not only a body that looks great on the outside, but on the inside as well. Your immune system will be built up and your muscles and joints will be in peak condition. Your body will end up feeling more energized and young as a result.

3. Increased Strength, Endurance and Flexibility

Your muscles have a larger part to play in the operation of your body and go through a wide variety of motion every day. In plain English, if not improved, weak and shortened muscles perform slower and have a higher chance of injuries. Also, your movements will be like that of an old lady with bad posture. Good posture not only helps your body move better, but it also projects confidence. Quite a number of men find that their number one turn off is a woman with poor posture.

Keep these goals in mind when you embark on any fitness program and you will be off to a great start.

In order to reach these goals, I recommend having a trainer like Flavia del Monte. She is a Registered Nurse, Certified Trainer & holds a Masters Level Nutrition Certification Degree. At the last count, she had brought her body fat count down to 13.5% which can be the equivalent of 6% body fat for males.
